Alaur Virgin Skin Anti-Aging Cream is part of a series of anti-aging and protective compounds created by Park Avenue dermatologist Albert Lefkovits for his patients to use in place of or following serious cosmetic procedures like laser repair and chemical peels. Dr. Lefkovits is an extremely popular dermatologist who makes his own research a high priority and until recently this line was only available to his clients.

The Alaur cream is designed to smooth away lines and wrinkles using a blend of vitamins, “select botanicals” and bioflavenoids. It can be used in place of foundation as a makeup base and absorbs extremely quickly.

The entire product line is based around Dr. Lefkovits’ research and discoveries about the properties of oak meristem, a root tissue that increases collagen and elastin production while improving resilience, healing damaging skin and smoothing and softening rough edges.

The Alaur Virgin Skin Anti-Aging Cream should be massaged over the face, neck and chest after cleansing. You can use it once or twice a day as you prefer.

Drawbacks:

While the Alaur line in general and this cream in particular are backed by some groundbreaking research, there are a few things to consider before you buy.

There is no official guarantee for the product. You will have to work with a vendor to establish what the rules are for returns.
The research is very exciting, but so far inconclusive.

This anti-aging creams has some serious benefits associated with it.

The cream has been described as “addictive” because it softens the skin so quickly and dramatically.
The contents of the cream are well-suited to each other and all work in tandem to develop newer, younger skin.
The cream absorbs very quickly and can actually decrease the amount of time you spend on your skin regimen.
Dr. Lefkovits is a practicing dermatologist whose reputation is very much on the line with these products. He has a high local profile in New York City and it is in his best interests for these products to work.

My Review

The Alaur Virgin Skin Anti-Aging Cream is very exciting because of several different aspects of the compound. Meristem research is very cutting-edge and makes a great deal of sense for anti-aging products since many compounds in the roots of plants are excellent stimulators of growth and rejuvenation.

However, if you are uncomfortable with just relying on research that has not been conclusively determined to work for humans (although it is great for oak trees) then this cream still may be for you. The anti-aging treatment also contains bioflavenoids, which help the skin absorb and utilize vitamin C, as well as aloe and almond extracts, which moisturize and induce your body to start producing hormones that it naturally stops making at about age 25.

On the whole, this single cream is a highly choreographed, fine tuned system to prevent signs of aging and restore your skin’s youthful appearance.

It's of some concern, however, that most of Dr. Lefkovits’ patients remain extremely silent on the subject of his creams as do most buyers. This may be partly because the line has not been available for very long. When you buy, you should bear in mind that the product line was originally designed to accompany other cosmetic procedures, so while it is likely very gentle it may not work particularly quickly on its own. If you are looking for a groundbreaking product backed by solid – albeit largely theoretical – research, then this cream may be a good buy for you.
