Drawbacks:

This serum has some serious firepower behind it, but there are some things to consider before you buy.

BABOR HSR 28 Perfect Effect is extremely expensive and does not last quite a month if you use only one application daily. Refills are necessary to maintain the effects and are almost as expensive as the original treatment and container.
Most of the ingredients other than the pro-elastin formula are intended to either moisturize or help with your psychological well-being. If you want a hard-hitting facial treatment, this may not be for you.
The serum is a little oily, which means that it may take a little time to absorb fully.
This product has little to no track record.

My Review

While the packaging for this particular BABOR product is incredibly appealing and the futuristic aspect of the ampoules of serum is more than a little enticing, I am not sure that prettiness alone can justify the expense of this product without some other supporting evidence that this stuff actually works.

The BABOR Corporation has always been tight-lipped about the contents and formulation of their “exclusive complexes” and “active substances,” and often there is plenty of firsthand evidence that the creams and ointments work from happy, satisfied customers. Unfortunately, in the case of the Perfect Effect serum, it seems that very few people are using the treatment. Those who are report “younger, healthier skin,” but there are no details to explain exactly what this means.

This seems to me to be a pretty high risk to take with no more specifics than that. However, the company does have an incredible track record and many of the precursors to this product, such as the similarly packaged lifting eye and skin creams, appear to work literal miracles. As a result, I think that the Perfect Effect serum is worth a try, but only if you will not miss that 164 dollars next month.
