My Review

Neutrogena’s Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Night Cream promises great things, but unfortunately it only delivers on about half of them. I’m not sure what clinical studies the website is referring to that showed visible reversal of aging since none are publically available, and, sadly, while this cream does create incredibly soft, smooth velvety skin and gives every indication of being a highly effective preventative measure, it just does not live up to the promises when it comes to the reversal and healing of existing skin damage. Frankly, I’m mystified, because it ought to work.

The cream has all the right stuff: feverfew for calming inflammation before environmental aging can set in, a natural vitamin E derivative to heal and brighten already damaged skin and essential soy to provide proteins to nourish and renew your face.  As you can see, however, most of the active ingredients are extremely effective preventatives rather than hard-core repair elements.

As a result, this lotion works wonders for preserving minimally damaged skin, but simply does not cut it when it comes to the restoration promised on the label. If you want a solid, inexpensive daily moisturizer that will soften skin and help you maintain a youthful appearance, then this night cream is for you. However, if you are hoping to repair serious damage, then you should probably look elsewhere for a solution.
