The Phytomer OgenAge Expert Night Cream is a timed release cream that gradually releases “rejuvenating agents” into the skin over the course of the night. Because the body does most of its repair work while you are sleeping, Phytomer researchers believe that the best time to heal skin tears and cellular malfunctions that lead to physical manifestations of aging is at night – specifically between 2 and 4 AM.

If you apply the cream in the evening as part of your nightly beauty routine, then about the time that your body hits high gear in its own restorative efforts, Phytomer’s natural botanicals and other nutrients will boost the process and intensify the results. Phytomer also contains calcium and omega 3, an essential nutrient that has been known for years as being a serious player on the cardiovascular health scene, but only recently has been noticed for its topical uses.

Drawbacks:

While this night cream does take an innovative approach to skin restoration, there are still some things to consider before you buy.

The cream is very expensive, and you will need to use a fair amount to cover your face, neck and chest.
Phytomer has not released the specifics on the “rejuvenating agents” in the cream, making it hard to tell whether or not they are truly going to result in younger looking skin.
This cream was originally designed for mature skin, so it may be more concentrated than a person seeking prevention wants.

While Phytomer Openage Expert Deep Wrinkle Eraser Emulsion does not come with a formal guarantee, Phytomer does have a more general pledge to “guarantee complete tolerance for their products and better penetration of their active ingredients.” However, they do not specify what the response will be should you experience a negative reaction to one of their treatments.The company also pledges that they do not use animals for testing purposes and that all research and development is conducted with full respect for the environment, which is a pretty important promise since Phytomer professes to be the “uncontested expert in marine-based cosmetology” and houses the majority of its labs and spas directly on the ocean.

My Review

Anything that professes to “add hours of sleep to your night” is worth investigating. However, in the case of the Phytomer OgenAge Expert Night Cream, it is difficult to determine without testing on an individual basis just how many hours you are going to actually get. While the cream does contain a lot of really good, solid anti-aging components like natural botanical oils and omega 3, which is a new, highly promising essential fatty acid that health experts have endorsed for years, it does not have a lot of solid research to back up that hefty price tag.

One of the biggest issues with the Phytomer company is that while they constantly assert their excellence, exclusivity and superiority in luxury and groundbreaking marine research, they are willing to provide little hard evidence outside of testimonials. Since these research results are undoubtedly in high demand, this is understandable. However, it does give one pause when most of the testimonials available about a product are only available through that product’s official website. The notion of a time release night cream that will restore and repair your skin is extremely appealing, but there is not enough evidence to give it a strong recommendation. Responses to the cream are highly individualized, though most people do report feeling that they feel that they look more “well rested” than they used to. When it comes to wrinkle repair, though, the jury is still out.
