My Review

This is one of the most controversial skincare products I have ever used. Everyone I have spoken to has either loved or hated Prevage MD Anti-Aging Treatment.

While no one is denying its anti-aging properties, the cream does cause a skin reaction in some people. The company readily admits to the risk of irritation, however, and suggests a “spot test” for several days before using all over the face.

Why would people risk a mild reaction and purchase this product? In short, it is because the cream really works wonders on most people.

Idebenone is the key ingredient here and it is very potent. Never one to go into something lightly, I skipped the spot treatment and applied a light coat of this cream to my problem areas (forehead, eye area and around the mouth). I did feel a mild burning with the first few uses; however, it was no worse than any common facial astringent.

Treading with caution, I kept applying a very thin amount every other day until I was sure that I wouldn’t have a reaction. After that, I used it exactly as directed and was very pleased with the results. This cream made my skin look clean and exfoliated with very little effort. I even noticed a great reduction in darkness under my eyes, tempting me to occasionally skip any make up for the day.

After two weeks of use, my wrinkles were also less apparent. That, combined with an overall healthy glow, makes this cream a winner in my opinion.

I understand that some sensitive users may have a different experience with this potent cream. My advice would be to try the spot treatment, as suggested, and then go forward from there. If you think you can deal with a bit of mild irritation in the beginning, I expect you’ll be pleased with the cream.
