This product was my first experience with Retinol. Since I do not have problematic skin where acne is concerned, Retinol has never really been on my radar. I understand that it can really help out with breakouts, but I didn't realize that it could also be used for anti-aging purposes until I discovered RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer Enriched with SPF 15.
This set comes with two 1oz tubes, which is pretty generous when compared to many other anti-aging products. My first impression was that the smell is nice. It's not too strong, yet not too bland. The cream is also light enough for you to put makeup on over it and not feel like you are wearing a Halloween mask.
As for the effects of RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer Enriched with SPF 15, they are not immediately apparent. Although it works well as a moisturizer, the wrinkle reduction can take up to 12 weeks to really work. I used the cream for a week before I really saw some difference.
Specifically, I saw the lines around my mouth and eyes diminish. My complexion was also brighter and more even in tone. This is very important to me, as it projects a more youthful appearance and gives me a better palette for when I apply my makeup. I would recommend this as a regular moisturizer to be used in conjunction with other anti-wrinkle creams.
