Does the thought of a chemical face peel sound a bit harsh to you? Yes, I thought so, which is why I have steered clear of invasive treatments like that. However, Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel is an at-home treatment that is a bit friendlier to sensitive skin. Although it does carry a warning about aspirin allergy and can cause some peeling, I didn't find it irritating at all.

What really drew me to Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel were the clinical tests that showed positive results. I have always fought blackheads and large pores, which is one of the big selling points for Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel. Luckily, I found that it did reduce the size of my pores and the results were almost instant! I also noticed a reduction in some of my expression lines. Since you aren't supposed to use this near the eyes or lips, my crow's feet and laugh lines went untouched.

Although I recommend this product for some great results, be sure to follow the directions very carefully. True, it is gentler than the chemical peels offered by dermatologists, but it is still very potent. Only leave it on your skin for a few minutes and if you start to feel burning, rinse it off immediately. Some people will only require short treatments and it should only be used a few times a month.
