Sothys Lift Defense 2 Serum

Sothys Lift Defense 2 Serum

The Sothys Company describes its new Lift Defense 2 Serum as the latest product on the front lines of a “new generation of age defying intensive treatments.” The serum contains “Decrip’line complex,” a patented and confidential compound that simultaneously smooths and relaxes wrinkles while creating a lifting effect on facial skin as a whole. Sothys assures customers that this serum will “melt into the skin” and create a “protective veil” that guards against fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

While all of this may sound a bit overblown and possibly too good to be true, the serum certainly contains all the necessary ingredients to pack this kind of punch. While retinol helps restructure damaged tissues and vitamin C restores serious tears and rips in the skin, milk proteins work to clear and refine skin while a yeast extract call Toniskin stimulates collagen production and smoothes skin in “microrelief,” making it velvety and a pleasure to touch. All in all, if anything is going to kick serious, multifaceted aging issues in the rear, this is the stuff to do it.

The Sothys Lift Defense 2 Serum is a four to six week treatment. Massage it into the skin twice a day after a thorough cleansing, then follow with the Sothys skin cream of your choice. The serum can also be incorporated into a maintenance regimen and used once a day after the intense period of treatment has concluded.

Drawbacks:

Sothys has a great reputation, and its high end, anti aging products are definitely in demand. However, consider these factors before you buy:

  • This is intended to be a long term treatment. Although you can stop after 6 weeks, you will likely lose some of the more transient lifting and tightening effects.
  • Sothys does not disclose all active ingredients.
  • The vitamin C in this serum may irritate the skin and cause serious sun sensitivity.

Benefits:

There are a lot of positive things about Sothys and its anti aging lines, including a lot of innovative and creative research.

  • Sothys places a high emphasis on attacking problems from multiple angles. This gives you an advantage if your skin has proved resistant to anti-aging or anti-wrinkle treatments in the past.
  • Sothys incorporates the most recent research into its product lines. Although this sometimes results in a dearth of clinical trial evidence, it certainly gives you an advantage when it comes to new ways to fight age signs.
  • This serum attacks many facets of aging at once, so you may need fewer products than you would otherwise.

Guarantee

  • Sothys makes no official guarantee other than that the company has “a deliberately top of the range approach which places the customer and her well-being at the heart of Sothys treatments.” They also assure users that the products are “well-tolerated and effective.” However, there does not appear to be any type of recourse for a buyer who finds the products to be unacceptable.

My Review

My first inclination is to tell you to run out and buy this serum at once! It has everything: proven age-fighters like vitamin C, retinol and milk proteins as well as new developments like Toniskin and the somewhat mysterious “Decrisp’line complex.” It attacks every problem, and solves them by simultaneously relaxing the bad muscles and toning up the good. The background research seems firm, and the newer materials, though not conclusively proven, are not a danger to your health or to your appearance and seem to be well on their way to being staples in the anti-aging arena. However, I would be remiss if I did not point out a few detractors from my initial enthusiasm.

Sothys has a great reputation – as a cosmetics line. Its spas and anti-aging facilities are known more for their exclusivity than the effectiveness of their treatments, and if you do not like this product, you are almost certainly out seventy dollars. Furthermore, there has been no official public testing of the product, and little public response to indicate whether this unique combination will work for everyone.

That being said, this product looks like the real deal. The ingredients are right, the research on the individual ingredients certainly holds up, and the price is much lower than many other anti-aging products that are far less targeted and have far fewer “designer” ingredients. If you have the seventy dollars in your beauty budget, I definitely recommend you give this serum a try.
