My Review

While the notion of getting the benefits of light-therapy related treatments without the hassle of light therapy are appealing, I think it’s pretty unlikely that there is much to this particular serum if you use it without the rest of the Tanda system. When I investigated the ingredients, most of the “scientific sounding” names on the list turned out to be natural fragrances rather than particularly healing or productive herbal or botanical items, and many of them like “impetiginosa bark” and “michelia leaf” are actually extremely common compounds made of almond oil and magnolia leaf.

Almond oil is quite potentially good for the skin, but it’s not groundbreaking as the advertising would have you believe, and magnolia leaf extract is most commonly found as a “bridge” scent in perfumes and has little use in an anti-aging treatment at all. I love Olay products, and I am excited by the Olay Professional Alliance. Even better, they actually have a visible impact on weathered and damaged skin, which is a refreshing change since so many products seem to do a lot to moisturize but do not really change the look of deep lines and furrows.

The regimen does take a little bit of time and adds about fifteen minutes to your morning and evening routines by the time it all soaks in and you start applying makeup or going to bed, but the extra half hour a day is well worth it. However, do not start if you are not going to use it every day, because missing days seriously messes up your final results. Also, while results are guaranteed in 28 days, you will continue to improve the look of your skin if you continue to use the protocol, so be prepared to renew your products when they are gone.
